Complete the Admissions Process

Donnelly has an OPEN ADMISSIONS POLICY & NO APPLICATION FEE. Below are step-by-step instructions to walk you through our admissions process. Some programs in the nursing department have additional admissions requirements and may be selective.

COMPLETE YOUR ADMISSIONS CHECKLIST

There are three required documents you must submit before you can enroll at Donnelly:

1. Application for Admission

  • While Donnelly admits students year-round, we encourage all students to apply by the following priority deadline to ensure you receive your maximum federal and institutional aid and ideal course selection. Apply here.
  • Donnelly College is not accepting international students at this time.

2. Transcripts

3. Official test score / placement testing

  • Donnelly requires either an ACT/SAT test score, or students can take the Accuplacer Next-Generation on campus (FREE) to be placed into appropriate level courses. Sign up for the ACT here. ACT scores can be sent to us by using Donnelly’s ACT code 1404 or by requesting the scores be sent to Donnelly.
  • We accept ACCUPLACER scores in place of the ACT. To schedule your ACCUPLACER test, email us.
  • Testing can be waived if students complete Composition I & College Algebra with a C or better.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

1. Complete the FAFSA.

If you have not applied for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), apply for free here. Donnelly’s school code is 001914. If you need further assistance, please schedule a time to meet with our TRIO associate.

We have many scholarships that do not require you to be FAFSA eligible. Fill out Donnelly's Family Contribution Estimator Form here.

The FAFSA must be completed before you can apply for scholarships.

  • Scholarships - More than 50 merit-, criteria- and need-based scholarships, including a GUARANTEED MERIT SCHOLARSHIP!
  • Tuition & Fees - Our listed tuition is before scholarships and grants are applied.
  • Financial Aid - Many programs qualify for federal financial aid (FAFSA Code 001914). Most full-time students who qualify for full Pell Grant pay little to no tuition!

We will make your transition to college life as easy as possible. Here are just a couple ways we can help:

Any veteran who leaves Donnelly to perform military service will be re-admitted with the same academic status as when they departed.

Earn college credit for prior workforce experience!

Do you have significant job/career experience? Are you interested in a fast-track way to earn a college degree? Donnelly's Prior Learning Assessment track may be the path for you.

To be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), a student must have earned at least twelve (12) credit hours at Donnelly College. Credit through PLA may be awarded through portfolio assessment. Applications for PLA through portfolio begin with an interview with the PLA committee during the semester in which the credit is to be awarded. Credit awarded through portfolio is charged at one-third the rate of tuition, assessed at the time credit is awarded. A maximum of 20 credit hours through PLA may be applied to an associate or bachelor’s degree, and federal funds are not applicable for PLA. This policy is not applicable to students in the nursing program.
